The ground breaking for the new $5.4 million AmericInn to be built at the Hwy. 34 and 1 exit was held on Thursday, July 7th. The 65-room hotel will be state-of-the-art and feature wi-fi, a pool, a spa and lounge, along with many green and sustainable features. Ron Burrget with AmericInn says that the new hotel will be the 1st for the company in 30 months and represents the beginning of a construction spurt for the company, which is already the largest hotel chain in the Midwest with 220 properties.
